Our Garden@19. A garden blog following the year, preparing to open for the NGS, while enjoying visiting gardens, the beauty of nature, the plants, the wildlife and a sanctuary to relax in.
I used to grow Cobaea scandens from seed and had completely forgotten all about them - thanks for the reminder, they are lovely.
I have grown them in the past, I thought I would try again this year. I have been a little disappointed in how slow they have been to flower, I guess it is due to the cooler summer we have had.
What lovely big flowers. Very much like cups!
Just right for drinking sweet necter!
A well-named plant - are they in full flower now, after keeping you waiting all summer? You must be very thirsty!
They are flowering well now, I have had to resort to a wine glass all summer waiting for them!
