  1. You have some lovely varieties. I wonder how they decide that a new variety is different enough to name as I have some that look like some of these but have a different name. My Cum Laude looks like you Passionate and My Tres Chic is very like your Purissima

  2. Jan Reus would be my favourite Dutch Master, but you have a stunning gallery in your garden.

  4. Beautiful gallery. Best tulip for staying power in my garden has to be Brown Sugar.

    1. Thank you Kate. I looked up Brown Sugar, I see Sarah Raven rates it so you are in good company.

  6. I do love that pink one, China Pink. They are all wonderful! Ballade is also very pretty. I nearly ordered Peppermint Stick last year... it is quite something and I may put it on this year's list. Thanks for sharing!

  8. Lovely collection! I don't have as many but I have just remembered what the lovely, dark tulips I have are called - Queen of the Night, thanks. Amelia

  9. A lovely selection - I am not all that good at growing tulips and once planted equal numbers of white and black (Queen of Night). Only the black ones came up so that one has been a favourite ever since.
But I do like your Ballade and Abu Hassan. And Peppermintstick and Flaming Mint Green are very unusual...
    Best wishes :)
