A Vase on Monday, Pink & Green

On Saturday we held a coffee morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support, joined by friends, neighbours and family raising £190.
The props in the photo are a book of raffle tickets and a bottle of pink wine (one of the prizes) against  a backdrop of a Macmillan table cloth.
In the vase is Nerine bowdenii which is flowering in the garden...

...and the unknown pink dahlia from the allotment that featured in our last and first 'Vase on a Monday'.

The weather was kind enough for visitors to explore the garden and sit outside to enjoy tea, coffee and home made cakes.
To see what others have in their vase today visit: Cathy

  6. The Nerines do make an explosion of color, Brian, somehow with the green background they make me think of New Year's. Very special flowers with the pink Dahlias.

  10. What a great cause! Well done! Every year I look enviously at nerines in other gardens and then get home and forget that I want some. Happily, you have reminded me of this at a point in time when I have a notebook in front of me, so next year there will be nerines all because of your post. Thanks you!
